A lovely doctor who explained every stage of my scan to me and showed me in great detail on the screen his findings. He took his time in doing this and at no point did I feel rushed or that he was in a hurry to see the next patient. I had the time to ask questions and he answered these in a manner I was able to understand.
I feel he was very thorough and appeared to genuinely care about how I was feeling and my thoughts on various treatment options going forward.
I feel Dr Panayotidis is a great asset to St Marys.

I would highly recommend Dr Panagyotidis for his professionalism, great manners and extreme patience even with prudish people like myself. Basically if you want things done just go to the specialists who don't "beat around the bush" ;) but get things done.

Dr. Panayotidis is what you are looking for in a professional. As a male gynecologist he is very professional, confident and extremly patient and polite with very difficult and prudish people like myself. I would highly recomend him for anyone that actually want to see results in their treatment and or are looking for solution even chronic illnesses.

After not the best history with my previous gyny's; it was a breath of fresh air having one that actually listened and did the correct treatment etc for me.
I wish he had been my gyny 10 years ago, I may of been able to get the correct treatment and actually have children.

Very helpful and clear what actions required next. Felt like he listened and wanted to help further with other departments that were not. Very happy with a follow up appointment and 32 week growth scan.

Mr Costas Panayotidis MRCOG, MSc (Cardf, Honours), MSc (Guildf), MSc ( Strg), MD ( Strg, Honours),
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in infertility, early pregnancy and minimal access surgery.
Mr Panayotidis was born in the UK in 1973 and studied medicine at the University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France, qualifying in 1997. After completing GP training in 2000 he carried out research into hypo fertility and intrauterine insemination and obtained an MD in Reproductive Science with distinction Très Honorable. In 2001 he returned to the UK where he completed his full training in obstetrics and gynaecology, obtaining his specialist certification in 2008. Following this Mr Panayotidis completed an MSc in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy with the University of Surrey 2011 and he completed recently a clinical MSc in Advanced Gynaecological Ultrasound in Cardiff University with Honour Distinction in 2017. Mr Panayotidis worked as fertility lead in NHS hospitals and private fertility clinics in UK.
He specialises in advanced level of minimal access surgical procedures particularly in fertility including hysteroscopic and laparoscopic diagnostic or operative procedures, conservative or radical. From ovarian cystectomies, excision of endometriomas, adhesiolysis , hysteroscopic procedures to optimise endometrium , myomectomies, polypectomies. He is happy to treat patients with other general gynaecological conditions such as treatment of menorrhagia using different hysteroscopic endometrial ablation techniques.
He has expertise in new ultrasound techniques such as 3D gynaecological imaging studies, ultrasound scan with Doppler, studies offer HyFOSY ( hysteroscopic-foam -sonography ) techniques to assess tubal patency in non-stop clinic. He offers early pregnancy ultrasound scans as well and second opinion gynaecological ultrasound studies.

He is a very enthusiastic teacher and been involved with medical education for many years.
He was elected office member of the British Society of Gynaecological Imaging in 2016 and he is actively involved in national projects of the society. The recent guidelines on oocyte pick up standards of practice , produced by European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology ( ESHRE ) in 2019 were based on his MSc dissertation in Ultrasound practice and his substantial contribution was acknowledged internationally.
